The track for John's career has a sound foundation rooted deeply in the retail grocery industry. With a background that draws from an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to model successful markets in an ever increasingly consolidating and competitive industry, John has operated his own business for fifteen years. An excellent example of adapting to an ever-changing environment comes from the success and contribution to the grocery company in the creation of a catering company. LeTourneau's CATERING was created as a parallel company to the grocery business and played a significant role in sustaining the long-term viability of the company as a whole.
In addition to creating successful business pathways in the grocery industry, John has had to opportunity to build from his roots in retail and strengthen his knowledge base by serving in a marketing role with a Fortune 200 consumer products company. Wyeth is a multi billion-dollar company that markets such familiar brands as Advil, Dimetapp and Centrum. John understands the challenges involved and how to create opportunities from these challenges when representing the Wyeth brands with companies like SUPERVALU Stores Inc., CUB Foods, Snyder Drug and retail partners such as Target, Wal-Mart, K-mart, just to name a few. While representing these brands John was responsible for increasing the market share of the Advil brand to a national high in the Minneapolis market. As a result of these achievements and his ability to understand retail operations as they relate to products and supply chain logistics John became a member of Wyeth's circle of excellence and was recognized as marketing representative of the year. Top achievement honors in leadership among a team of four hundred.
