Hitler on Leadership

It is often debated if Hitler was a good leader. To me this is not a topic of debate – he was a little man who was psychologically disturbed, who knew how to lie and who coerced people to do what he wanted through fear and symbolism.

Today I was at a Bar Mitzvah and the Rabbi held up a Torah explaining it was from a community in Eastern Europe. The community of Jews that survived the holocaust fled the community and scattered around the world. The Torah was captured by the Nazis to be held as a symbol and put in a museum to demonstrate what Hitler had accomplished and to keep the population under fear of his rule. Today the synagogue holds it up as a symbol of the survival of both the religion and the defeat of the evil monster.
